One of my proudest achievements was editing and producing this small tome on The Farnsworth House for Peter Palumbo. From the introduction:

“I pointed out to him [Mies] that it [a glass house] was impossible because you had to have rooms, and that meant solid walls up against the glass, which ruined the whole point.

Mies replied, “I think it can be done.”

The Farnsworth House
Franz Schulze, Author
William Huchting, Editor
“..a wonderful little book out about one of Mies' masterpieces, the Farnsworth House in far west suburban Plano. Schulze's volume may be thin, but it is no lightweight. There are coffee-table books with 10 times the number of pages that pack far less intellectual wallop than this minor classic.”
